+ Painting radiators: step-by-step instructions for painting radiators

Substrate
Factory-applied primers must comply with the technical delivery conditions for radiator primers according to DIN 55900. Aluminium primers are unsuitable.
Paint structure
Generally, one coat is sufficient. Two coats are recommended if white paint is to be applied to a dark primer. If necessary, prime with Multigrund-Spray 714 or Multigrund 715. Do not paint on warm or hot radiators.
Preparation
Remove any loose and peeling old paint. Thoroughly sand well any old paint that is still firmly attached. Prime bare patches and then paint or spray the radiator once with Sinolin® Radiator Paint Spray 278.
Processing conditions
During the entire processing and drying time, the material, substrate and air temperature must not fall below 8°C or exceed 30°C. The humidity should be between 30% r.h. and 55% r.h. during the entire time.
