Kronen® Iso-Damp-Blocker is the perfect solution for insulating and binding moisture on mineral substrates such as plaster, concrete, facades or walls in basements, garages and interiors. The modified acrylic resin with a high cement content provides reliable protection against moisture, salt efflorescence and mould growth – even on damp substrates. The white-pigmented, matt paint adheres to surfaces both above and below ground level and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to its high cement content, Iso-Feuchtblocker also acts as a natural mould protection. Suitable for all types of stains and efflorescence. Suitable for water stains, nicotine, soot, grease, dirt, crayon marks and efflorescence.

Instructions for use of Kronen® Iso-Feuchtblocker

 

Preparation of the substrate

The substrate may be slightly moist, but must be clean, stable and free of loose particles. Sandstone is not suitable for the application. In the case of permanently moist substrates (e.g. due to rising damp), the cause must be eliminated before application.

 

Processing steps

  1. Stirring: Stir the product thoroughly before use to achieve a homogeneous consistency.
  2. First coat: Apply the first coat undiluted with a brush to ensure optimal adhesion to the substrate.
  3. Subsequent coats: Apply a further 1–2 coats undiluted with a brush, roller or suitable spatula.
  4. Layer thickness: Apply thinly and evenly to avoid cracks forming.

 

Processing conditions

  • Temperature range: +8°C to +25°C (substrate, air and material).
  • Humidity: Ideal conditions at 55% relative humidity.

 

Drying times

  • Dust-dry: Approx. 2.5 hours at 20°C and 55% relative humidity.
  • Completely dry: Approx. 24 hours at 20°C and 55% relative humidity.
  • Can be painted over: At the earliest after 24 hours with compatible top coats.
